How it works

  1. 1

    Add your Hungarian audio

Upload a Hungarian audio or video file, paste a YouTube or podcast link, or record a meeting with the desktop app or Chrome extension. LiteScribe starts transcribing a recorded meeting as soon as it ends. MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, and WebM all work.

  2. 2

    Choose Hungarian

Select Hungarian in the language list, or let automatic detection identify it. It is the same choice for speakers in Hungary and in the Hungarian communities of Romania, Slovakia, and Serbia.

  3. 3

    Get your transcript

LiteScribe returns a clean Hungarian transcript with speaker labels, punctuation, an AI summary, action items, and topic tags, ready to edit in the browser.

  4. 4

    Translate and export

Translate the transcript into English with the Translate button, ask AI questions about what was said, then export TXT or SRT on any plan, or DOCX and PDF on Pro, Business, or with a minute pack.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Hungarian is one of the well-supported languages for recorded files. Clear speech from a headset or a nearby microphone gives the best result, and accuracy drops with crosstalk, music, and background noise, as it does for any service. The transcript is editable, so names and technical terms are quick to correct.

Hungarian builds long words by stacking suffixes onto a stem, so one word such as megbeszélésünkön (at our meeting) carries what English says in three. Vowel length changes meaning, as in kor (age) and kór (disease), and ő and ű are different letters from ö and ü. Clear audio does most of the work, and a quick review of names and long words does the rest.

Yes. Press Translate on the transcript page and pick English or another of the 19 target languages. Translation is included on every plan, which helps when a Hungarian meeting, interview, or lecture has to reach people who do not speak Hungarian.

Not word by word yet. Hungarian is not one of the live languages, so captions do not appear while people speak. Record the meeting with the desktop app or Chrome extension instead, and LiteScribe starts transcribing it as soon as you stop, with speaker labels and a summary, at 1 credit per minute.

Yes. LiteScribe includes 120 free transcription minutes every month with no credit card required, covering Hungarian uploads, links, and recorded meetings. That is about two hours of interviews or four half-hour meetings. Minute packs and the Pro and Business plans are on the pricing page if you need more.

Yes, with Local Mode in the desktop app. It transcribes Hungarian audio on your own computer with an on-device speech model, so the audio never leaves your machine and nothing is sent to any third-party AI service. Local Mode comes with Pro and Business, or with any minute pack for 30 days.
