Clinton Browne
Founder & Former CTO/CIO
(Yes, that's 30 years in IT. No, he doesn't look that old. Yes, he's been coding since before the internet was a thing.)
Leading the charge is our co-founder, Clinton Browne. With 30 years of IT experience - from Engineer to CTO/CIO - Clinton brings... well, let's just say he's seen the entire evolution of modern computing. He's basically a walking, talking history book of software development. (Ask him about debugging on a 56k modem. Go ahead, we dare you.)
Clinton's career trajectory reads like a tech industry success story: starting as an Engineer, working his way up through the ranks, becoming a leading open-source and full-stack Microsoft developer, then serving as CTO for a well-established FinTech organization, and most recently, CIO of a mobile-first challenger bank (before joining Paysafe). He's basically worked everywhere except your startup. (But hey, there's still time!)
His expertise spans the entire technology spectrum - from Cloud, Web, and Mobile development, to the Microsoft Tech Stack, to Enterprise & Architectural design. He's passionate about implementing best practices, process improvements, and Agile/DevOps methodologies. Basically, if it involves code, infrastructure, or building successful teams, Clinton has probably done it. Multiple times.
But wait, there's more! (This is starting to sound like an infomercial, but bear with us.) Clinton holds an MBA from The Open University with an emphasis in Technology Management and Information Technology (2016), because apparently coding and leading organizations wasn't enough - he needed to understand the business side too. He's been pursuing academics for over 12 years, which is longer than most people's entire careers. His professional qualifications include: MBA (Technology Management), BSc (BIT), BTech (Hons), ITIL Expert, MSCD & MCP, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. That's enough certifications to wallpaper a small office. Twice.
Clinton is passionate about technology, innovation, delivering high-quality products/services, and building successful teams and solutions. He's led successful teams and organizations from strategy to release and beyond. With this kind of experience, Clinton ensures that LiteScribe not only works beautifully but also aligns perfectly with business goals and industry best practices. (And yes, he's the one who insisted on the dark mode. You're welcome.)
Fun fact: Clinton has been in IT for 30 years. That's before Google existed. Before Facebook. Before most of our users were even born. He's seen programming languages come and go, frameworks rise and fall, and technologies evolve from punch cards to cloud computing. He's basically the Gandalf of software development - wise, experienced, and probably knows more about your codebase than you do.
