Your meetings, in your editor and AI tools.
LiteScribe runs a remote MCP server at https://mcp.litescribe.ai/mcp. Add it to Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf or any app that supports remote MCP servers, sign in with your LiteScribe account, and your assistant can search your meetings, read transcripts and pull out action items while you work.
https://mcp.litescribe.ai/mcp- Every LiteScribe plan, including Free
- Sign in with LiteScribe, no API key
- Read-only unless you allow changes
What you can ask
Ask from your editor or terminal. The assistant calls the LiteScribe tools and answers with quotes and timestamps.
Read today's sprint planning call and list the tasks assigned to me.
What did the client say about the API deadline in this week's meetings?
Turn the decisions from yesterday's architecture review into a checklist in TODO.md.
Find where Sarah talked about the launch date.
List my action items from October.
Summarize every customer call that mentioned the export bug, with timestamps.
Connect in three steps
Every client needs only the server URL. The first time it connects, it opens your browser so you can sign in to LiteScribe and approve access.
Connection details
- Server URL
https://mcp.litescribe.ai/mcp- Transport
- Streamable HTTP
- Sign-in
- OAuth with your LiteScribe account. No API key.
- Access
- Read by default. Changes only if you allow them.
- 1
Add the server URL
Add https://mcp.litescribe.ai/mcp to your MCP client as a remote HTTP server named litescribe.
- 2
Sign in to LiteScribe
When the client opens your browser, sign in with your LiteScribe account and approve access. Allow changes only if you want the assistant to rename, move or share recordings.
- 3
Ask about your recordings
Ask your assistant about your meetings. It calls the LiteScribe tools and answers with quotes and timestamps.
Setup for each client
Claude Code
Run this in a terminal, then type /mcp in Claude Code, choose litescribe and sign in. Add --scope user to use it in every project.
claude mcp add --transport http litescribe https://mcp.litescribe.ai/mcpCursor
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json to use LiteScribe in every project, or to .cursor/mcp.json in one project. Then sign in to LiteScribe when Cursor asks.

Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, choose HTTP and paste the URL, or add this to .vscode/mcp.json. Sign in when VS Code asks, then use the LiteScribe tools from GitHub Copilot Chat in agent mode.

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in can connect. Give it the server URL and it finds the sign-in page by itself. Claude and ChatGPT have their own pages.
What the connector can do
Your AI app picks the tool and LiteScribe runs it on your account. Seven tools read your recordings. Three optional tools make small changes, only if you allow them.
Read tools
get_account- Your plan and the transcription minutes you have left this month.
search_recordings- Searches your recordings by words, date range, folder, speaker, language and source: meeting, upload, desktop, mobile, extension or YouTube.
get_recording- A recording's summary, action items, chapters, topics and speakers.
get_transcript- The transcript as speaker turns with timestamps, a page at a time, including translations you saved.
find_moments- Quotes that answer a question, each with the speaker, the time and a link that opens the player at that second.
list_action_items- Action items across your recordings in a date range, each with the recording it came from.
list_folders- Your folders, so the AI app can search inside one of them.
Change tools (optional)
These exist only if you allow changes when you connect, and your AI app asks you before each one.
rename_recording- Gives a recording a new title.
move_recording- Moves a recording to another folder.
create_share_link- Creates a share link for a recording.
No tool deletes anything.
AI assistant connections
You can connect AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code to your LiteScribe account through our MCP server at mcp.litescribe.ai. This section explains what a connected app can access and how you stay in control.
What a connected app can read
Details of your recordings (such as title, date, length, source, language and speakers), transcripts, summaries, action items and folders. An app gets this access only after you sign in to LiteScribe and approve the connection.
Changes are optional
If you allow changes when you connect, the app can also rename a recording, move it to another folder or create a share link, and it asks you before each change. No connected app can delete anything.
Local Mode
Local Mode recordings that were never synced to your account stay on your device and are not visible to connected apps.
Sign-in and access tokens
You connect with your LiteScribe sign-in, not an API key. Access tokens are short-lived and are stored hashed by our authorization server, which runs on Cloudflare.
Disconnecting
The Integrations page in LiteScribe lists every connected app. You can disconnect any of them at any time, which ends its access.
What the connected app does with your data
The AI app does the reasoning. For these requests LiteScribe returns the data the app asks for and does not send it to its own AI model. What the app then does with that data is governed by the app's own terms and privacy policy.
What we log
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, we log which tool was called, by which connected app and when. We do not log the content.
No model training
We do not use your data to train AI models.
Questions and answers
Q.Which MCP clients work with LiteScribe?
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in, such as Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT in developer mode, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot and Windsurf (now Devin Desktop). A client that can only start local servers cannot connect directly.
Q.Do I need an API key or a token?
No. Your client discovers the LiteScribe sign-in page from the server, you sign in with your normal account and approve access, and the client handles the short-lived tokens for you.
Q.Can I use LiteScribe in a coding agent safely?
By default the connection is read-only: the agent can search and read your recordings but cannot change them. The change tools exist only if you allowed changes when you connected, and no tool deletes anything. Treat transcripts like any other text you paste into an agent, because they contain whatever people said in the meeting.
Q.How do I switch to another LiteScribe account?
Disconnect the app on the Integrations page in LiteScribe or remove the server from your client, then add it again and sign in with the other account.
Q.Does the connector cost anything?
No. Connecting is free on every LiteScribe plan, including the free plan, and reading your recordings uses no transcription minutes. Minutes are only used when you record or upload audio.
Q.Which recordings can the AI app see?
The recordings in your LiteScribe account, whether they came from a meeting, an upload, the desktop app, the mobile apps, the Chrome extension or a YouTube link, in any of the 99 languages LiteScribe transcribes. Local Mode recordings that never synced stay on your device and are not visible.
Q.Does LiteScribe run its own AI on my transcripts for this?
No. Your AI app does the reasoning. LiteScribe finds the recordings and returns the text the app asks for, and does not send your transcripts to its own AI model for these requests.
Q.Can the AI app delete or change my recordings?
It cannot delete anything, because no tool does that. It can rename a recording, move it to another folder or create a share link only if you allowed changes when you connected, and your AI app asks you before each change.
Q.How do I disconnect?
Open the Integrations page in LiteScribe, where every connected app is listed, and disconnect it. That ends its access. You can also remove LiteScribe from the AI app itself.
Q.Is my data used to train AI models?
LiteScribe does not use your data to train models. Once the AI app has received your text, its own terms and privacy settings decide how it is stored and used, so check that app's settings too.
Your recordings, in the AI app you already use
Create a free LiteScribe account, record or upload something, then connect your AI app. The free plan includes 120 minutes of transcription every month.
