Why translate Spanish to Japanese with LiteScribe

The Japanese translation mixes kanji, hiragana, and katakana correctly, with loanwords rendered in katakana as native readers expect.

Business Spanish is translated into polite Japanese (keigo), which suits meeting notes and external communication.
Speaker labels carry over
Diarization on the Spanish audio means the Japanese translation preserves who said what.
Free to start
300 minutes every month on the free plan covers most calls and short videos.
What makes Spanish and Japanese distinct
Spanish
Espanol
- Family
- Romance
- Script
- Latin (LTR)
- Speakers
- ~490 million native speakers
- Where
- Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and most of Latin America, plus a large US Spanish-speaking population
Spanish is spoken fast with rapid syllable timing, and regional variation is large: the "seseo" of Latin America versus the "distincion" of central Spain, dropped final "s" in the Caribbean, and the "vos" forms of the Rio de la Plata. The inverted opening marks (the upside-down question and exclamation marks) and the n with a tilde are part of correct written Spanish and are preserved in the transcript.
Japanese
日本語
- Family
- Japonic
- Script
- Kanji + Hiragana + Katakana (LTR)
- Speakers
- ~125 million native speakers
- Where
- Japan, with sizeable communities in Brazil, the United States, and across the Pacific
Japanese mixes three scripts in a single sentence: kanji for content words, hiragana for grammar, and katakana for loanwords, and it is written without spaces, so the transcript has to segment a continuous string correctly. Politeness levels (keigo) reshape verb endings for business speech, homophones are extremely common and resolved from context, and the many English loanwords in corporate Japanese are rendered in katakana rather than left in the Latin alphabet.
A worked example
Spanish (source)
Gracias por acompanarnos; vamos a repasar las cifras del trimestre antes de abrir el turno de preguntas.
Japanese (translation)
ご参加いただきありがとうございます。質疑応答に入る前に、今四半期の数字を確認しましょう。
The warm Spanish opening maps to the polite Japanese "thank you for joining" with keigo, and "abrir el turno de preguntas" becomes the natural Japanese phrase for entering the Q and A.
